Giornata Mondiale del Latte

June 1st is a special day for us: World Milk Day, World Milk Day, an event that fills our hearts and gives life to our entire dairy industry. Milk, consumed by about 6 billion people worldwide, is one of the main products of Italy, which is proudly positioned among the top five global producers. This food is of vital importance, so much so that in 2011 the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has established a World Milk Day to raise awareness of the importance of its presence in our diet and to celebrate the whole sector.
Today, we celebrate not only milk, but also its derivatives, which represent an essential source of micronutrients such as calcium, vitamin A, vitamin B12, magnesium, fundamental for growth, concentration and energy recovery.
This year, given the increasing attention of the whole dairy industry to the issue of environmental protection, the focus will be on climate change, highlighting the work done by the sector to reduce its environmental impact.
