Ricotta of Bufala Campana PDO at Sigep 2022

The Consorzio di Tutela della Ricotta di Bufala Campana PDO has won the challenge of the restart of the fairs in presence in this 2022. The 43rd edition of Sigep, the Fair of the Italian Exhibition Group’s sweet foodservice chains, has ended in Rimini.

The bet was ambitious and the interest of visitors towards the Ricotta of Bufala Campana DOP showed that the programming fielded by the Consortium was appreciated. The exhibition space of the Consortium during the five days of the fair was visited by more than 3500 trade operators, buyers, students and consumers.

The highlights were the live shows of chefs and confectioners who took turns in the stand, guests of the Consortium and interpreted the Ricotta di Bufala Campana renewing the tradition: Luigi Avallone with Babà Bufalà, Giuseppe Iannotti with the Pastiera and the Ricotta Risotto, Marco Merola with the Buffalo Cake and the Ricotta and pear and to conclude the pizzaiolo Ciccio Vitiello and its multiple cooking.

The days were also followed live on the Consortium’s Facebook and Instagram channels.

Thus the Sigep has confirmed itself as a fundamental showcase for the affirmation of Ricotta of Bufala Campana in the kitchens and laboratories of the horeca operators, once again proving to be an extraordinarily versatile product both as an ingredient for desserts and for salty preparations.
